How to unsend an email in Gmail

Hi Guys welcome to All Geek Tricks. Today I'm going to post an tutorial which is very useful for everyone. Almost every one dream to reverse time and do right there wrongs. But we all know that's not going to happen. So here's a deal do you know that if I sent a mail from any E-mail Providers like Gmail, Yahoo  or Outlook (Microsoft ) we can't cancel that mail or make it bounce back . But it's not completely true, Google has a feature called "Undo send " which makes this possible. Let's check how it works.

How to unsend an email in Gmail

  • Login to your Gmail account.
  • Now click on the gear icon on the top right corner of the page.
  • Select ‘Settings’ option from the drop down list.
  • Scroll down till you find ‘Undo Send’ option and click on ‘Enable Undo Send’.
  • Now choose ‘Send cancellation period’ (5, 10, 20 or 30 seconds) which is the time till which you can unsend an e-mail.
  • Click on ‘Save Changes’ at the bottom of the page.

by enabling this Feature you can have many advantages like if your mail has mistakes or some other unnecessary content you can get it corrected by undoing it in about 30 seconds or if you've sent the mail to a wrong recipient. Many of my friends and other people makes these type of mistakes. Recently I've heard some people while writing mail are including confidential sensitive data like Passwords, Date of Birth etc.,

Note: This feature is available only on your Gmail account on desktops. It is not available on Gmail mobile app for smartphone smartphones.
